Wherever possible, hansa-express employees utilize liner shipping to and from European ports for the worldwide shipment of hazardous goods. However, this is often not available due to port or transit port regulations. This means, for example, that only small quantities or no quantities at all of IMO Class 1 may be handled in the port or that shipping companies do not load these materials onto their ships. As an alternative, hansa-express therefore uses charter or part-charter shipping, which has the necessary experience for the sea transport of IMO Class 1 dangerous goods.

IMO Chartering
Chartering of vessels for transportation of explosives is a sensitive topic.
The ships need to be IMO – fitted. The decision makers on the ships and carriers must be open to military cargoes. Transit licenses for all ports the ship calls on its journey must be in position. You need a direct and reliable contact to all persons involved.
